Course Description

The objectives of this course include teaching basic skills in the following main topics:

  • Whole numbers
  • Skip counting
  • Comparison
  • Patterns
  • Addition
  • Subtraction
  • Time
  • Direction
  • Geometry

In order to teach the skills in this subject in the best way possible, the course uses a variety of teaching strategies, and proper and varied evaluations. Likewise, there is an emphasis on the diverse use and application of these skills supported by feedback.

Some of the teaching strategies include:

  1. Virtual lectures via videos supported by pictures and animations
  1. Interactive exercises with providing feedback.
  2. Learning through play.
  1. And internet exams are used as a final evaluation strategy.

2 Chapter Two: Whole Numbers ( ɪɪ ) Recognizing numbers (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) and their components, learning to count in order through pictures and shapes, learning to write numbers (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20), recognizing the number line and learning to count through it, learning the method of counting using signs, learning to count using tables
3 Chapter Three: Whole Numbers ( ɪɪɪ ) Recognizing numbers from 21 to 30 and their components, learning to count from 21 to 30 in different ways, recognizing ones and tens place values, recognizing numbers up to 100, learning to count to 100, finding the missing numbers in different ways (number line, cubes)
4 Chapter Four: Skip Counting Learning skip counting by (twos, fives, tens), skip counting with jumps by (twos, fives, tens) using the number line and groups.
5 Chapter Five: Comparison and Patterns Learning to compare things, learning how to know the more, less, and equal in comparison, recognizing comparative signs (>, <, =), comparing numbers up to 10 in different ways, comparing numbers up to 20 in different ways, learning about the number pattern, learning to complete a pattern of two or more elements, and learning about the incremental pattern.
6 Chapter Six: Addition Recognizing the addition sign, finding the result of the addition by counting pictures and shapes, finding the form corresponding to the addition sentence and the sentence corresponding to the form, solving addition sentences, finding the plural sentence that lead to the result, finding the missing number in the addition sentence, using the addition to solve problems, finding the result for addition sentences up to the number 10 by counting pictures and shapes, converting writing plural sentences from words to numbers
7 Chapter Seven: Subtraction Learning to subtract by counting, learning to write the subtraction sentence, finding the shape or pictures that express the subtraction sentence, learning to count backwards to find the result of subtraction, finding the subtraction sentence for a specific product, finding the missing number using subtraction, using subtraction to solve problems, finding the result of subtraction up to the number 10 by counting pictures and shapes, converting writing subtraction sentences from words to numbers
8 Chapter Eight: Time and Directions Distinguishing times during the day (morning, noon, night, day), arranging business and events according to time during the day, identifying the minute hand, hour hand and reading the clock, reading the digital clock, learning the main directions such as (right and left) (up, down) ) ( up , down ) ( front , back )
9 Chapter Nine: Geometric shapes Two-dimensional shapes (square, rectangle, circle, triangle), describing two-dimensional shapes in terms of their properties, three-dimensional shapes (sphere, cylinder, cone), and recognizing their properties
10 Chapter Ten: Time Identifying & arranging the days of the week, distinguishing times of day, distinguishing the types of clocks, reading an hour, a quarter of an hour, and a half hour, distinguishing between the hour hand and the minute hand, arranging the times of events in an hour and a day
